I was recently reminded that moms are often the ones to fill the stockings for everyone in the family. Unfortunately, this means their pretty stocking is often neglected and left empty. Let’s change that and fill our own stocking. We deserve to have fun things in our stockings too and don’t have to feel left out! If you have someone to fill your stocking, even better. I am sharing my personal favorite stocking stuffers for moms, or any woman in this holiday gift guide. I tried to include items from many different areas that are fun or useful. In my suggestions, I included many things that I own and love. Some of these items I have bought for family members and will gift them this year, and some are on my personal wish list. Above I featured my favorite needle point stockings that have many super cute options and are customizable! A little about my stocking journey: I didn’t really know them until I was in my twenties, and I fell in love. Yes, you heard me correctly, we didn’t have them in Germany when I grew up. Over the years, I had random stockings and that was fine, until our daughter was born. Now all of the sudden, I wanted personalized matching stockings with names.
I always loved the idea of needle point stockings but didn’t have the time to make them myself. And so, the search began until I came across my favorite stockings. I love the detail of personalization and that they have been around for such a long time. This gives me hope that we can simply order additional ones when we want to add more and don’t have to replace all to make them match.
Holiday Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers for Moms
Candles & Essential Oils
I often add a small candle and one or two new to me essential oils to my stocking stuffer. I love having a nice candle by my bedside or turning on the diffuser when we all hang out at home.
Wisconsin Candle Company: These have quickly become my favorite candles. I love adding the 10oz tumbler to my stocking. My current favors are New Glarus Christmas, Cranberry Apple, and Winter Wonderland. New Glarus Christmas really smells like a potpourri on the stove, filled with sugared raspberries, damask plums, fresh cranberries, and orange in warm cinnamon zest, vanilla and clove. Cranberry Apple smells just like that and reminds me very much of bakes apples with cranberry sauce. Winter Wonderland is a mix of cinnamon, clove, vanilla musk and mulberry with hints of evergreen trees of fir, eucalyptus, pine and cedar! They have so many other scent profiles to choose from and the 4oz tins are perfect sampler size. The first year, I bought a bunch of little tins which was so much fun to discover lots of different scents.
Beeswax Candle: I also love beeswax candles as they burn much slower than regular candles and allows me to enjoy them much longer. These candles come in a cute container with a lid that I repurpose after burning the candles and the scent choices are amazing.
My essential oils are from DoTerra. I love all their holiday scents. I have never purchased one that I didn’t like.
Makeup & Selfcare
Who doesn’t love receiving new makeup? I always like to take advantage of Thanksgiving sales to stock up on my favorites and then I add one or two new things just for fun. Even if I picked them out, trying them for the first time after opening stockings is just as exciting. Which makes them a wonderful stocking stuffer idea. These also make great stocking stuffers for teens or any other female in your family.
Lipsticks & lip glosses are always on my must have list. While powder products can last longer especially if you take good care of them, you should change out your lip products more frequently.
You have heard me rave about the Ilia Tinted lip oil several times; ‘Maybe Violet’ and ‘Linger’ are my favorite colors. I love how creamy they are and absolutely not sticky while still moisturizing. If you are struggling with very dry lips, this lip serum will heal your lips in no time and keep them soft and moisturized. It’s the absolute best product I have tried and worth every penny. My favorite color options are ‘Nudie’, ‘Regal’, ‘Rose’, ‘Go’, and ‘Bloom’.
My favorite lipstick is a cool toned sheer pink color with a good staying power which also hydrates and nourishes the lips.

Jewelry
I think of jewelry as a classic stocking stuffer for mom. I love adding a fun pair of earrings that I can wear later on for dinner. Necklaces with sentimental meaning are also a great option for stocking stuffers. Sela Desing has some great options for both. Useful Stocking Stuffer: Underwear & Socks
Another very common category – yet I have noticed that I often wait until much too late to replace mine. So often we get underwear and socks regularly for others but forget ourselves until it is really necessary. Let’s change that. I think they make wonderful stocking stuffers, and it is something that’ll bring us joy every day.
My favorite underwear is from Pact. Mine have held up so well and of all the underwear I have had, they have by far been the best quality and cut. Bonus they are made from organic cotton. It makes me so much better that some of the most sensitive skin on my body isn’t covered in clothes that are grown and processed with nasty chemicals. So many different styles to choose from, I think everyone will find a style they like and a cut that works for them. I personally like their bikini and lace hipster for full coverage the best. They fit well, don’t move around or cause wedgies. I also really like their thongs. Comfortable and a great fit. The bikini and thong don’t show up under my leggings either.
Pact also makes some of my favorite no show socks. I always wait for a good sale, and they change their colors seasonally. They always have a great deal around Thanksgiving.
Other Random stocking stuffer for moms
This year I have a handheld milk frother on my list. I love being able to foam my milk regardless of where I am at. I have found a little mixer is all I need but makes such a difference with my Matcha Latte or Coffee. This is the one I have on my wish list, so I can’t speak to the quality yet. So many good reviews usually hint at a good item.
I also have a new pack of toothbrush heads for my favorite electric toothbrush on my list. Another item I like to stock up on during sales and I don’t mind adding it to stocking stuffers. I really enjoy my toothbrush, the best I’ve ever had and that says a lot as a daughter of dentists I have had the chance to try a lot of the best brands.
Toothpaste is another of those odd items that I’ll add. Actually, everyone gets a new tube in their stocking. I like mixing toys with necessities as I think it’s important to learn being grateful for those at an early age. I’ve come to learn the best way is often to lead by example. So, mama is really excited about those stocking stuffer gifts. This toothpaste is the best non-toxic version I have tried thus far. I feel toothpaste is another one of those categories that is really hard to swap. My holy grail toothpaste, I like it best out of all the toothpastes I have ever tried. I am not going back. Additionally, I can feel good about my daughter using it too.
Last year I added this little memory journal for mom in my stocking. I had so much joy filling it out every night and I know I’ll love looking back on the fond memories in years to come.
I already have a reading light for reading books at night, so this is really a luxury item to add to my list. Here is why I put this book reading light on my list it only emits red light and no blue light. I have really noticed a difference when I don’t use blue light emitting things at night. It allows me to wind down better, and I sleep better as well. This is perfect for reding at night before bed or long flights if you want to set an ambiance. The one I have now has a red-light setting as well but to turn it off I have to go through all the other light settings too which I found a little annoying. And Bon Charge currently has a great sale!
