Today I am crating looks for travel days. I’d wear each of these Wear to where – Travel Day outfits for different kind of travel, and I have to admit some speak more to me than others. As I often get cold in airconditioned spaces, I love layering when traveling. Airplanes, some trains, and even the car can get quite chilly. Additionally, comfort and functionality are key.
Often, what I wear on travel day needs to pull double duty later on during the vacation. Putting different possible outfits together, really helps me figure out what kind of style I’d be most drawn to. It also really helps me to identify gaps in my closet. I hope sharing my ideas and outfits I come up with, will give you inspiration and allows you to copy looks you like with similar items in your closet. Or you might find some items to add to your closet that you feel you are lacking.
Wear To Where? Travel Day Outfits:
Travel Day Outfit 1:
One of my go-to travel outfit formulas. So versatile and fun. The leather sneakers, and backpack speak more city or low-key country vibes. I’d select different accessories for an adventure vacation. (see the last two posts)

Travel Day Outfit 2:
I love how easy this look is, another of my go-to travel looks. I’d totally choose all these items if I’m heading to a beach vacation, girls weekend etc. The sandals definitely speak warm weather. Every single item in this look would do double duty for several occasions during the trip. My jean jacket is old, I found a good substitute and linked it below.

Travel Day Outfit 3:
I think this look is so fun! I have worn this outfit formula for many car trips. Great for the travel day for camping. I might swap out for some bike shorts and a sweatshirt if I want to be more comfortable. If my legs get cold, I simply lay a blanket, or my cardigan over my legs. Sandals where I can easily slip into are a must, even better if I can wear socks in them. If it’s a long drive, I’d totally rock the sock look. Another bonus, the plastic sandals can easily be worn in the water so no worries if you get them dirty. My EVA Birkenstocks – a must on any trip: serve for shower, hotel swimming pool, beach, great for camping too.

Travel Day Outfit 4:
Another classic air travel outfit of mine, especially if the activities are more active and nature based. There once was a time where I would not travel in joggers, and I’m still not 100% there yet, so I might opt for similar shaped cotton/linen pants. If I’d pack hiking boots and I was really pressed for space, I’d wear those on the plane as I like to wear the heaviest/biggest shoes for air travel.
Find items here: joggers, sweatshirt (sustainable sweatshirt option I own and love it), sneakers, backpack, wallet & wristlet, baseball cap
I hope you enjoy these Wear to Where? Travel Day outfit inspiration. I hope this gives ideas on what to wear so you can make them your own. Leggings not your thing? Try linen or chino pants. White sneakers not part of your closet? Use any other shoes that you like to wear for long periods of time. The same goes for colors. If these colors don’t suit you, pick any colors that you prefer.
