My Recent Favorites in April

My recent favorites in April have focused a lot on makeup and the little things that bring me joy. I have added a few clothing items to my closet in March and early April which have quickly become items I love.

1. Old Navy graphic Tee:

I love a good graphic Tee to bring interest to a jeans & t-shirt outfit or to wear with leggings and joggers. This Old Navy tee is thinner without being flimsy and gets softer with washing. It runs bigger so I went with my smaller size. The color is a lovely mint green with a colorful yet muted design that isn’t overpowering.

2. Ilia Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil:

This has quickly become one of my daily lip products. It goes on smooth without being sticky and has great color payoff. Hyaluronic Acid, Salicornia Herbacea Extract add moisture and meadowfoam seed oil support the lips natural barrier and locks in moisture for hours. My go-to color is Tahiti, described as a burnt coral. It does go on a little warm but adjusts to my lips beautifully and turns into the perfect pink shade. A little slice of magic.

3. BYBI Bakuchiol Booster:

This is a newer to me product, yet I don’t want to miss it again. I use it at nighttime after cleaning my face locking in moisture. Since using this, my skin tone has much improved. Additionally, it is very moisturizing and serves as my primary moisturizer. Only when my skin is very dry, I feel the need to add an additional cream to add more moisture.

4. Avryn Co.

This has been one of the best investments. This wristlet and wallet slave simplified my life. It accompanied me anywhere. I always have all essentials with me. Getting a toddler in and out of the car seat, stroller, swing at the playground, no problem. Wishing for free hands at the grocery store and not having to worry about a purse? Now I got it! At a sprots event or a concert? This wristlet allowed me to keep my essentials at hand without having to dig in my bag. If I do have a bigger bag or backpack along, it’s easy to find especially if you are able to clip it onto the key spot or another spot in your purse.

5. The curated closet:

I came across this book by chance, and it was exactly what I needed to create a curated wardrobe that I love now that I know my best colors. It guides the reader in easy and manageable steps to find your style and create a functional wardrobe that you want to wear. It was really helpful to really take time for the process and 1st figure out your style, what your closet needs to do for you, and lastly get to creating a closet full of clothes that serve you and spark joy. This book has great insights on quality garments and I really enjoyed that it is geared to be very mindful about purchases and to stop the overconsumption mentality. I’m actually saving money, despite purchasing investment items.

6. Pact Essentials Sweatshirt & Sweatshorts

I can’t wait to wear this lounge set in the mornings, hanging out on the deck soaking in the morning sun. Right now, I love wearing the sweater with leggings (see my favorite thicker ones here, buttery soft ones here), my favorite joggers, or jeans.

7. Levis Wedgie Fit Jeans

My recent go-to jeans I wear several times a week. The high waist and straight leg make these a great way for me to move away from skinny jeans and transition to spring. They are easy to style with sneakers, boots, and sandals.
